On behalf of the St. Mary’s County Branch of The NAACP in partnership with St. Mary’s County Public Schools, we invite you to participate in our Annual Southern Maryland Spring College & Career Fair featuring Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and local colleges and career organizations on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Dr. James A Forrest Career & Technology Center located at 24005 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
The doors open for set-up at 8:00 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served. The students from the local area High Schools will arrive between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00p.m.The doors will open to the public from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. You will have the opportunity to meet over 450 student candidates representing the Southern Maryland Tri-County area in one convenient setting!
St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) is interested in sharing information about teaching positions and is working to increase diversity in staffing. Schools with teacher education programs are asked to provide information about the program and the availability of potential staff to the St. Mary’s County Human Resources Department at this link http://www.smcps.org/hr/employment-opportunities. The staff will be onsite at the fair to discuss opportunities for recruiting prospective candidates for teaching positions.
